Delicious Bull Tears Mega Thread

He had another doozy this morning.

Big 12 is the lowest on the p5 pecking order. Basically the P4 are calling the shots. UCiF, cincy, Houston, TCU, wvu were pulled in from g5 to help them survive. Once OU & Texas leave i don’t see anyone in that conference worth paying attention to. It is only a matter of time before Ok st & Kansas get the call up to the P4. Big 12 Is like a hodgepodge of nonethingness…

I’m beginning to think Bull Daly may not be all there.. so I’m starting to feel bad picking on his posts.
I wonder what he thinks of the new AAC

They were available...as USC/UCLA showed that the Pac 12 had no buyout attached to their conf but thr Big 12...on advice of their tv partners, choose UCF, UH, Cinci and BYU instead.
They were available? Then why didn’t the Big 12 take them? They weren’t available for the Big 12 to take. That’s why. They didn’t want to be in the Big 12. They barely want to consider the Big 12 even now with the P12 on the brink of crumbling.

Big 12 followed their tv partners wishes. Also...they know that schools like Oregon State, Washington State, Cal, etc...don't add enough value to the conf (i.e. the future 12 team conf would have to take less $$$ to bring them in).

Lol. They would have taken pretty much any PAC-12 team over us if they could have convinced them to jump. For our sake I’m glad they didn’t.

Funny how they are begging to join nothingness…..they are constantly sending fruit baskets to the Big12 offices…..usf fighting scurvy……LOL

Imagine, if you will, that there’s a momentary tear in the fabric of the universe and Bull$#*+Daily is actually right for one time in his life. In this alternate reality, the Big 12 is the lowest of the P5. One thing BSDaily has not taken into consideration is even with that being the case, teams from the B12 will still be going to the Sugar Bowl and several other significant bowls, as well as possibly to the CFB playoff. Meanwhile, the best the AAC can hope for is to get an invite to the Gasparilla Bowl, because once UCF, Houston, and Cincinnati leave there’s no way the AAC is going to a NY6 bowl. The Mountain West and the Sunbelt will own these bowls. So still, even in his dream land, Temple Terrace Community College will still be relegated to irrelevancy while we will be collecting millions in the lowly B12 and going to great bowls!🤗

Also, dont forget the P12 had a chance to expand. If the P12 decided to expand last summer - UCF never gets an invite. or, wait, we do and the "new B12" is just the AAC 2.0.

The new B12 as it stands (the 8+4) is a legit conference. And adding any P5 school helps. I hope 4 corners come over. I would even take Wash St and Oregon State over USF, et al.

B12 brand name alone will keep it in a power status with great bowls and exposure. Sure missing OU and TX is a big deal, nobody argues that, but the conference is still very much healthy and very much quality. I cant wait for 2023.

Thank you for proving how little information you have at your disposal.
You don’t need secret information that apparently you have and I don’t. You can simply look at the fact that the Big 12 was in desperation mode with 0 leverage to move a P5 school to what appeared to be a sinking ship. Which is why every new addition involves a G5 upgrade. It isn’t because G5 schools were more attractive than established P5 brands. It’s because that is what was available.

I think you might be surprised of the results...as going into new BIG markets with teams that WIN (UCF, Cinci and to some degree Houston and BYU), add more value vs at least 3 of the 4 Pac 12 teams that are normally in the bottom half of the Pac 12 (or even AT the bottom).

UCF averaged almost double the TV ratings of most in the Pac 12 vs P5 competition.

Winning has value...and that's why UCF tv numbers are STRONG when they get a chance to shine on ABC or ESPN vs P5s.
There ya go...stick to facts and not emotions and myths.

My point remains. Nothing in your table is an apples to apples comparison. The only UCF games appearing on major networks are the top matchups on the schedule. Including 3 NY6 bowls and 2 CCGs. Meanwhile you have regular season ho hum matchups for P12 schools factored in. Comparable matchups for UCF appeared on the Ocho.

Guys. What if Bull Daly is right and OKST and KU leave the Big XII and all we're left with is Baylor, TCU, TTU, KSU, IAST, WVU etc. We'd instantly be worse than the AACUSA.*

Then they finally get ice cream in hell….so Hitler and one day Genshaft will like it.

This guy can’t be serious can right? A hypocrite projection on steroids…he’s on another planet.

Think he is drinking the big 12 Koolaid from UCIF fans. He may have forgotten how delusional they are imo. Big 12 is backfilled with g5 schools. Plus their geography is all out of wack with wvu & UCiF, Cincy on islands by themselves
They say things that makes them feel better even if it's delusional. Geographically the Big 12 is better positioned to provide media content than the PAC or the ACC.

Yet UCF and Houston have more BCS/P5 Bowl wins than most P5 teams.

It's you with the bias.
Ok just ignore the fact the UCF brings more than wins to the B12 and that just possibly another G5 team could bring the same potential as us even though they did not play in the AAC.

Exactly. I grew up in Clearwater and NO ONE wanted to go to usf!
I grew up in Brooksville and everyone who couldn’t get in to UF or FSU went to usf. It was the premier reject CC commuter school back in the day. I think they offered the extra 25% tuition that the 75% Bright Futures didn’t cover. They was desperate…

These days USF is poaching professors from Harvard. UCF does have a superior athletics program and its a great engineering school but we have a lot of work to do. In my opinion, the biggest thing we can do is to get some high level researchers in the medical fields.

Probably/Might have changed but when I was working for graduate degree the common saying was "Those in the northern schools that excelled/did well, taught at the northern schools. Those who did below that, were professors in the south."

Im not hyping nothing here. I came to address a comment made about a comment I made on the USF page. Nothing to hype up over here. I come 2 this thread 4 entertainment. It actually amuses me how bitter u guys are and I get it. Either way, Im done chatting.....your comments are 2 corny 2 entertain anymore.
"I'm not hyping nothing". Nice one Clem

I'm talking about legit poaching. USF is writing blank checks to pull people in.

that strategy started under Genshaft: go all in to inflate the numbers through the medical side but she neglected the Undergraduate quality , infrastructure, and amenities. That was the root of their anti OCS arrogance

Dr Hitt was a visionary. Go back to the Rec Center and everything else UCF built years ago that other schools started copying. Even UF recognized this when students complained that some of them lived in dumps that still used window ACs. FSU is more worried about UCF than usf

I believe there were dumpy dorms at UF that didn't even have AC. They may have fixed that by now.

Def had dorms that didn't have a/c when my buddy went to UF back in the early 2000s. They probably got it fixed by now.
I stayed in one in 1994 of a friend that went there. Definitely would not have if no AC. It was kind of like a jail cell though.

A Danny Weurffel tweet showed up on my timeline where he was dropping off a nephew I think and the pic had one of those cheap window ACs

it isn’t about only cooling but filtering the air to have less allergies and viral bugs run through dorms

I went to Gator Camp up there in the summer of 94. My position coach invited me to go, years later as an adult I realized he paid for it out of pocket, because my folks couldn't afford something like that. I packed clothes. I didn't know bedding was required. Neither did my roommate. My mom made me take a set of sheets. We didn't have a window unit and god my roommate and I wished it had been a window unit. My roommate used my fitted sheet and I used the other one. We froze our butts off each night. The room was like a jail cell though, with extreme AC.

The first of what will likely be many delays...

"Negotiations for USF’s proposed on-campus football stadium remain ongoing, a week after the Bulls’ target date to award the project to a firm."

https://www.tampabay.com/sports/bulls/2022/08/26/heres-the-latest-on-the-usf-bulls-on-campus-football-stadium/?outputType=amp#amp_tf=From %1$s&aoh=16615531190734&csi=0&referrer=https://www.google.com
Just 35,000!?! That must be the visitors side. The home team side will consist of a cart with folding chairs for the 24 or fans to attend.

"They have not yet provided a budget for the building or detailed how it will be paid for."

Too little, too late. All this USF OCS talk was in direct response to UCF getting the BIG12 invite.
According this twiiter the estimate is $350mil. Of course this is the same person that has repeatedly stated they are the best option for expansion.
