Delicious Bull Tears Mega Thread

The cows would not be favored over UCF today. We would be about 14 point favorites at home. They are rated worse in Sagarin than ECU was and we were double digit favorites vs them.

We won't be favored by double digits over anyone except UConn at this point and the Heifers would be favored by a point or 2. Their true frosh QB would eat us up on the ground and they could make stops against us.

Not sure if serious. But on actual line predictors UCF would be 2 TD favorites over the cows and temple. 30 point favorites over UConn, 7 point favorites over Tulane, 3 point favorites over Memphis, 11 point dogs to SMU

Damn serious.....throw your little spreadsheets aside, do you honestly think we are 2 TDs better than usf right now?

LOL, so you don't even believe what you're writing.....enough said have a good night.
I’m not sure I follow. You made a statement that we will be underdogs from a betting perspective against usf. I pointed out that we won’t. The betting line has nothing to do with my feelings.

Memphis first up. As I said favored by 3

USF as a 3.5-point favorite over Temple for the next game...could the losing streak be over?!?

GO OWLS!

Yes...with Keene at QB, and with all of our current injuries, UCF is still 2 TD's better than usf.
Yes, as I stated we are 2 TD favorites over Temple and usf if the game was played today. Temple and usf are essentially evenly matched for betting purposes. But usf get the slight advantage due to home field.

I don’t believe that to be true today - but I do believe that to be true a month from now as he improves and we adjust to him. Barring more injuries, of course.

Over on the crap pen, they were talking trash about Boise and Memphis academics, which reminded me Wallet Hub released an extensive college academic ranking of the top 500 colleges in the US earlier this week.

I can only guess that knowledge of geography was important because while like 10 Florida colleges were in.....the heifers were no where to be seen. And neither were we but we don't brag about it....they don't own up to ANY shortcomings.

Their whole elitist attitude when it comes to academics is really weird. I’m from the Tampa area and it was known as a big commuter school. They were giving extra 25% tuition for people to go there (if you had Bright Futures award, picking up the remaining tuition amount) and still no one wanted to. They are only ranked 45 spots ahead of us in US News rankings, both schools being in the 100-150 range but talk about UCF academics like it’s trash and their academics like it’s Ivy League. They are pathetic.

Seconded. The academic elitism is bizarre. I would think they know they gamed the system to gain a few spots, but the self-awareness is only now starting to hit for football.

I look forward to the next round of karma for the Bulls, the academic one.

Lol the cows think they are some sort of elite academic institution. Except nobody outside of Tampa believes that. Even if they appear a few slots higher in a US News ranking or something. Nobody knows or cares about these things until you are getting into actual elite academic institutions like ivys, Vandy, etc. If it mattered, don’t you think conferences would be taking a school like their new peer Rice over the cows?

Delusional with a capital “D”, this “wider” guy talking winning AAC and playoffs is hilarious…did they not see what happened to UCF 2017-2018? And that was in a wayyyyy better AAC lol

Who cares about academic rankings. You go to school. You learn, work, co-op, etc…When done you apply yourself in life on your own merits and hard work, whether it ends up being the field you got a degree in or something else entirely. I’ve worked with people that have Ivy League/MIT degrees and others that came from the military world that are just smart and knowledgable from applying themselves (non-degrees….although most do get a degree along the way at some point).

I’ve never made a single decision in life or judged anybody based on the piece of paper someone got thier degree from.

Not sure if the spelling errors are intentional, or you are going as a usf grad for Halloween...LOL

I have made dozens (maybe even hundreds) of hires of Engineers in my career, and for the first 10 years I ABSOLUTELY care where someone went to school. After that, the work experience takes center stage.

Having said that, including usf among the academic elite is ridiculous.

It’s relevant in hiring if it’s an Ivy. Nobody is breaking a tie between candidates based on going to UCF vs Temple Terrace. Well maybe if they are a UCF fan or (less likely) a cow fan.

Or FAU, Temple, Marshall, Oklahoma St etc. Really doesn’t matter unless it’s legit top. Even then it’s just certain jobs.

For Engineering, you are incorrect....Ivy League Engineers? No thanks.
