Public Hearings on January 6th

Congrats on predicting a recession after the market was down 20%. Took a lot of guts. Lol. I pulled half my brokerage account into I bonds for my wife and I in December and January in anticipation of this year. Just trying to help you chuds out a little bit.
Right, you were buying in spx at 42.5 and 41, and 40. Trained monkey following his monkey training. I said market was going to be a bear when it was still a correction, and you said the trained monkey knew better than most and it wasn't happening. So quit lying and accept your monkey training was a waste of money.

Lol. Keep huffing pool fumes. I said the market is headed toward 3500. And posted levels interim in route. You are beating your chest about a “bear” that you called after the market had already declined 20%. It is down 4% since then. And last week was up 4%.

There is 0 question of market direction. Only question is how big the bear will be. april 29, 2022
Spx closed down at 4121. 9.+% ago.
you just 4 days earlier
Everybody is calling for a bear market and recession. Which is why it’s unlikely.

April 29th SPX closed at 4121. A week ago it closed at 4160. So were you wrong for a month and a half or did market conditions change?

help for your next monkey call
EEEEE EEEEE EEEEEE EEEEEEE
You said there was only one direction to the market without specifying a time frame. I can tell you long term the market direction will be positive. From your “call” until a week ago the market direction was a net positive including periods of both 10% gains and 10% losses. So no, not a single market direction. The market direction for the past week has been one way. So I guess that makes you a winner. Kind of like BK. If SPX is back above 4000 a month from now you will disappear and be back cleaning pools.

On the opening night of the Committee hearings, Vice Chair Liz Cheney announced that Rep Scott Perry and many other of his Republican colleagues sought a Presidential pardon in the aftermath of January 6th.

Afterwards, Scott Perry went on Twitter to blast Cheney's allegation as a "an absolute, shameless, soulless lie." Now think long and hard about this. Do you really believe the Committee would risk its creditability by mentioning this nobody idiot Congressman if they didn't have the goods on him??!?

The unmitigated gall of this guy to blast the Committee when he damn well knows they've got him dead to rights is beyond bizarre. I guess its all about 'living in the moment.'

Just a reminder, this 'Soulless Lie" spewer is the same guy who refused the Select Committee's subpoena. Weird that Perry would risk Federal charges while turning down a golden opportunity to 'set the record straight.'

No he WOKE up and still supports Dementia Joe. The Committee has no credibility to risk. Hell it has Shiff on it.

Yeeeeeah, that's right. It's all about those LYING Democrats, right?

But it does make you wonder when all of the testimony we've been hearing is coming from Trump's inner circle of advisors and Bill Barr, his Attorney General. What's up with that, goodknightfl?

So the "tour" group just prior to January 6th were taking pictures of stair cases and windows and such, not exactly things people usually take pictures of on a tour.

You haven’t been to the Capitol??

What? You mean that's uncommon? I've got some treasured family photos of me and the Mrs. and the little kiddos posing in front of all the Capitol's security check points. :)

Today's hearing will focus on Trump's efforts to arm-twist VP Pence into blowing up the ceremonial approval of the States' EC votes.

That should be interesting. 🍿

That should be interesting. 🍿
What should have taken all of 30 seconds to say 'we're not Russia, votes count' turned into a literal snooze fest, thanks to the distinguished Republican legal scholar who testified that the notion that Pence could arbitrarily reject the States' EC votes was ridiculous.

The second hour today picked up considerably and was much more compelling. I always considered Mike Pence to be Trump's little toadie. But it was impossible to hear how Pence stood up to Trump despite considerable private and public pressure to do the right thing and not be impressed.

Pence's politics literally disgust me but I respect the man for his integrity and patriotism.

18 U.S. Code § 2384 - Seditious conspiracy

If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

Given the sworn testimony we've heard from Trump's own people, it sure seems pretty damn obvious that the President and his advisors can be charged by the DOJ with Conspiracy to commit Sedition.

Everybody, including Donald J. Trump, should be subject to the same laws of the land. It's crazy that Trump is still playing golf in Mar-a-logo while the stupid Chuds who believed his 'Stop the Steal' bullsh*t have already been charged and some are sitting in jail.

Just amazing how a Hitler repeat was in the works in the United States of America. Just unimaginable.
Yet according to Fox News, these hearings are producing 'nothing new.'

I will agree that most Americans who bothered to pay attention knew the score in the final months of the Trump Presidency, but the differerence between then and now is that the damning comments are not coming from those evil, blowhard libs, but from Trump's own inner-circle.

This afternoon's hearing is supposed to be about Trump's efforts to strong-arm States to "find more Trump votes."

Imagine being so goddamned brainwashed you think attempting to overthrow our democratically held elections is a nothing burger.

46% of voters in our country are in a cult.

I hear ya, Ninja. I grew up learning about WWII and wondered the same thing. Not any more.

I believe one of the key steps that led us down the road to where we are now was the FCC's abolishment of the fairness doctrine back in the 80s. The idea behind it was to...get this, present differing perspectives on controversial issues!!! Yikes, how crazy was that??!?

Now people can go online and watch cable TV and have their viewpoints spoon-fed to them while blissfully ignoring any troubling facts that might get in the way. That's the only way you can logically explain why the hell our nation isn't 100% on board with getting answers to the threat to our nation's democracy that took place after the 2020 elections that ended with the January 6th attack on our Capitol.

You'd think that every red-blooded America who loves our country would want us to learn from it so we can insure that it NEVER happens again.

Arent hearings supposed to have defense counsel? Yet this one had none? This is north korean propaganda and thankfully nobody watched (except dumbass libs like you)
OMG Really are you this naive?

Speaking of dumb, I don't miss "KNIGHTTIME" and Crazyhole in the slightest. But today's 1/6 hearing makes me wonder how they'd now spin the 'smoking gun' evidence of massive voter fraud that they breathlessly posted here in the weeks after Biden was elected.

Today's testimony trashed every bit of it as not only false, but laughably ridiculous bullsh*t.

But who knows?
Maybe BCHailMary can channel KNIGHTTIME's spirit and give us a response on their behalf.

I could just imagine. Let’s be thankful that 2 of the trolling WC foursome are gone for now, 1 has transformed into a BCHailMary weirdo, and the other one is spending his days writing his next nonsensical manifesto.

Fewer posts with less trolling, antagonistic BS is at least somewhat refreshing

In the United States, you don’t overthrow the government by storming the Capitol building. Lol

In the United States, you don’t overthrow the government by storming the Capitol building and you don't overthrow the government by having Mike Pence screw up the ceremonial approval of the EC votes.

But if Pence had played Trump's toadie as he was being pressured to do, it would have resulted in one gigantic clusterfu*k that would have nuked to hell any semblance of a peaceful transition of power.

Biden would have still become President (since, you know, he actually won) but given the number of gun-toting Joe Sixpacks who STILL believe Trump that he had the election stolen from him, just imagine what they'd have done if told the Veep decertified the EC votes and yet those evil, cheating, libs were still planning to oust their guy from the WH. Imagine the violence that scenario would have generated, thanks to the bullsh*t Trump would have spewed in the aftermath of it.

And OF COURSE, when violence broke out, President Trump would have had no choice but to declare marshal law.

Lets say hypothetically the evacuation routes from the Capitol were closed and members of congress and the VP could not escape and the rioters descended on them. What do think would have happened in that circumstance?

Biden would still be President without a few members of Congress and Pence.

Yeah, if Biden would've taken office anyway, what's the big deal? ;)

Pence dangling from a hangman's noose and a few dead Congressmen would've just been chalked up as the type of collateral damage you have to expect nowadays from this shining new era of American politics.

Just saying that those morons that stormed the Capitol weren’t going to chang a damn thing. Not playing it down in anyway whatsoever, but come on, you don’t change the government and have a coup by taking over the Capitol building.

Uh…, we have a military, right? Do you think they were going to execute or lock up all Democrats and the opposition as political prisoners because Trump orders them to? In America? That’s like 200 million people. Probably much more

They werent going to change anything on their own, but we really dont know what would have happened had they even been able to delay it, or worst case scenario, injure or kill people who needed to be their to vote on it.

The military wouldnt have to do all that, just like in other countries they dont imprison almost the entire population, they just quell uprisings and protect the leaders. I dont think our military would do that, but honestly, nothing would surprise me anymore about this country.
