High school boys rejoice

Chemmie and any other liberal Obamans refuse to discuss the matter that I mentioned and Huffy more eloquently explained. The over reach of the President and the expenses that he is imposing in the already under funded school districts.
Overreach? There has been no law passed. Obama has simply stated his opinion on the North Carolina law, and the Department of Education has mailed out suggested best practices for handling these sorts of issues when they arise. Nobody has been forced to do anything they don't want to do...well, except any actual transgender children in North Carolina who are now forced into outrageous situations that could easily be avoided by following these best practices and providing the affected children with some options.

Those of you who think this is somehow opening a door for perverts are out of your minds. It is simply stating to provide options for a very small subset of children who are registered with the schools (they need parental permission,) most likely also have medical diagnosis, and just want to possibly not feel like crap with kids, and adults, constantly insulting them for being different to the point where they have a much larger rate of suicide.

In the end, they are still just kids. Be decent to them, and if they have a legitimate gender identity issue, allow them some other options. It really is that simple, but people like you have turned it into a shit-show because you're scared the your kids might catch The Gay.

I never said he didn't have a low veto rate. Please share where I said that. I provided the reason it is so low. Again, you are awful at having an argument. I could have a more productive debate with frogerz and effers four year old.
I already shared it with your exact quotes, "he is the no man," and "Nobama vetoes everything that comes to his desk."

Do you not see how your quotes are contrary to reality? Are you stupid, or deliberately obtuse?

I'm not scared my kids might catch the gay . That's silly bullshit which isn't surprising coming from you . Telling schools you will with hold federal funding if they don't do what you say without congressional support , also knowing you can't get said support from those elected by the voters is pretty much the definition of over reach . I now understand why you call people dumbass . It's because you live everyday as a dumbass and want company in your club

So, Congress is worthless and won't pass bills, but it is Obama's fault? Thanks Obama!

I like how you say this, knowing full well that you absolutely ignored my other post showing when Democrats actually DID deliberately refuse to advance bills to protect Obama.

You're the ultimate example of ignorance being bliss.

Because your comment is irrelevant to the discussion. What Congressional Democrats did doesn't have anything to do with Obama "vetoing everything that comes to his desk."

You guys keep insisting something is true that is a complete fabrication. When called out on it, both you and Bob continue to come up with excuses for why you believe something that is completely false.

Over 1100 bills have passed Obama's desk. 9 have been vetoed. This is the least amount of vetoes of any President since Abraham Lincoln. There is no way to spin it. You guys simply believe made up bullshit and refuse to admit you are wrong.

Just clone a bunch of Obama's for Congress, Senate, local governments, school boards, hospitals, etc. He can fix everything. Matter of a fact, it should be law that you name your first kid Obama.

The letter defines “gender identity” to be “an individual’s internal sense of gender,” but then forbids the use of any objective standard – such as “medical diagnosis or treatment” — to verify any individual claim. One’s gender identity is, thus, established solely by a person’s subjective claim. And that claim can change from day to day.
Additionally, the good guidance letter indicates that the rules governing “sex segregated activities and facilities” are not the same. As for restroom and locker use, “transgender students “must have access to such facilities consistent with their gender identity,” but with respect to “athletics,” gender identity is not the sole determinant of access. That is, for athletics, a boy who feels he should be a “transgender girl” could be excluded from the girls’ basketball team, but not put out of the girl’s locker room.

Have to just smh at people talking about the "transgender children" I thought it was the "left" who championed science nowadays yet they want to monkey w some of the most binary science ever

ike a newly enacted statute or promulgation of a new regulation, the May 13 good guidance letter includes a list of new terms, never previously adopted by Congress or the Administration. Not only that, but the letter contains rules governing the interpretation of those new legal terms. For example, the letter defines “gender identity” to be “an individual’s internal sense of gender,” but then forbids the use of any objective standard – such as “medical diagnosis or treatment” — to verify any individual claim. One’s gender identity is, thus, established solely by a person’s subjective claim. And that claim can change from day to day.

Obama and his administration are complete asshoes.

We should get rid of all bathrooms at schools. The kids are there to learn--not to shit and piss the time away. I imagine 95% of the kids in HS go to the bathroom to sell/buy drugs, waste time, steal shit, or masturbate.

Dig a hole out back and send everyone there. Don't supply shit paper or anything. Oh, you need to wipe yourself? Use dollar bills or wipe your effin hands on your pants.

I seriously don't know why I have to solve all of the problems around here.

You make things hard. Just make everyone wear diapers. They'd be just as productive as poultry factory workers.

GKS warned me about reading this thread.

Whatever, I'm just glad none of you have trans kids (that you know of) or this level of hate, misunderstanding, and refusal to have a rational (instead of emotionally-charged bitchfest) conversation about a realistic solution that would be fair and safe for everyone would be pretty disheartening.

What is a realistic solution for the other 99.7% of the US population?

Typical liberal coming in and start name calling. No solutions offered for high school boys invading the girls locker room. No solution for creepy old men going into bathrooms at parks. Which they both can do now without repercussion. How do you battle these very real concerns? Oh nevermind the real questions most people have. You don't agree with me, you're a hateful bigot.

Well, considering it's high school, I am willing to bet you won't find many straight, cis males going through the trouble and getting the reputation as someone who is transitioning to female just to be able to see girls walking in and out of closed stalls inside the bathrooms. And I would imagine if it's just a dude throwing on a dress in a mockery of the rule, they would be reprimanded the way a female student who admits a false rape accusation is.

I mean, just from a logical standpoint- most sexual predators don't want to get caught and unless they do an amazing job (which take a long time) of looking convincingly enough like a cis-gendered woman, they are going to draw attention to themselves just from pretending to be trans. Plus, this all implies that we haven't really cared much about all the young boys being victims of predators in bathrooms.

I totally understand that fear for your child makes you want to err on the side of caution, especially if trans is something you don't believe in or agree with. But, statistics don't lie- most trans individuals have been using the bathroom with their gender (not their birth sex) and you are hard-pressed to find instances where a trans person went into a bathroom and sexually assaulted a child. You do, however, find staggering statistics about cis-gendered men who dress as men sexually assaulting children.
So, logically (and statistically) the fear shouldn't be trans individuals' right to feel comfortable with something as basic as going to the bathroom, or even cis-gendered men pretending to be trans to get into women's restrooms, but it should be vigilance towards cis-gendered men dressed as men using bathrooms.

That all being said, I know where I'm posting. I know this will fall on deaf ears, and will honestly just fuel the near-constant ridicule of liberals, hippies, freaks, or pick you choice of label. So whatever, I just genuinely hope the people who are spewing the most hate never have a trans child. They will have enough to deal with in their life journey.

I was typing something up, and I didn't insult you- I mentioned there is a strong level of hate in this thread. Which is just accurate. I've never said anyone a hateful bigot just for disagreeing with me.

It's not hate . That's what pisses me off . But that's the MO. Call everyone a full of hate bigot if they don't agree with your ideas about changing the world

Fair enough, it's not hate (although some of it could be, depending on the person), it's fear. Which I get, I understand fearing for your child's safety. But the reality is our kids are not at a higher risk- the ones that suffer if laws to protect the rights of all people aren't put in place are the smaller groups that don't have as many advocates. Gay and lesbian kids are at a 4 times higher risk for suicide than straight kids. Trans kids are 4 times higher than gay and lesbian kids. Dealing with not feeling "normal" is hard enough as a kid, and if they reach a place where they actually accept themselves for who they are then they are still punished for it. We can't tell kids to be who they are, and then when they do make it hard for them to live their lives the way other kids get to.

LMK, I think your missing the point of providing a solid legal defense for such predators if they were to be caught. And since gender becomes a feeling, it can change multiple times a day.

This isnt about hate. Id hope they would get help.

They did, that's why they transitioned/are transitioning into the gender they identify with. That can only be done under supervision of a psychologist, so if someone changes their mind several times, they aren't going to get the hormone therapy or approval for surgery, etc.

But, we have a fundamental disagreement about trans individuals. So instead of going back and forth for no reason, let's just agree to disagree.

I'm sorry I even replied, really.

Congress could, you know, override the President's veto with a 2/3 majority. But since it's all party line bullshit these days and all, nobody wants to make anything happen. And it isn't going to change either. I dare say this country is almost as divided as it was in 1860, but it's not geographical. That is what is going to kill it.

Here's an example of a bill that just passed the Senate that Obama has threatened to veto: a key national issue*: allowing 9/11 victims to sue Saudi Arabia. o_O

http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-acti...ill-allowing-9-11-victims-to-sue-saudi-arabia

"President Obama has threatened to veto the bill. Schumer said he wouldn’t uphold a veto, and expects that most senators wouldn't, either.

"I think we easily get the two thirds override if the president should veto," Schumer said
."

That said, not only is this law rather frivolous, it's rife with unintended consequences.

"The legislation will allow victims of terror attacks on U.S. soil or surviving family members to bring lawsuits against nation-states for activities supporting terrorism.

Despite bipartisan support for the legislation, it hit a snag last month when Sen. Lindsey Graham(R-S.C.) said he was blocking the legislation over concerns it would open up the U.S. to lawsuits from foreigners accusing Washington of supporting terrorism
. "

Lmk I know you have a big heart and have nothing but hope for everyone to be happy . But my feeling is that gender isn't a choice . The counseling should be geared towards identifying with the gender you were born with .

Last time I checked, people are either XX or XY. I admit Im not the most up to date on all things science. I wasnt aware of a 3rd chromosome. Could you provide a link to a scientific study confirming a third option?

Those with Down's Syndrome have three chromosomes (usually either XXX or XXY), so there's one additional option. Hermaphrodites have some form of XX/XY pairing in their genetic karotype, so there's another.

I love how "you've probably peed next to a tranny" so apparently we didn't have a problem, but we sure as shit needed a solution.

This a fake problem presented by the (((media))) to divide & distract & collect shekels as usual.

So why exactly should normal kids be exposed to the circus? I think I would rather NOT have an elementary/ middle / high school kid being over exposed to issues and activities associated w/ LBGT that are not appropriate to their particular level. There are 2nd and 3rd order effects to this that can't be ignored.

If little Janie grows up to think she is a Johny and lives her life that way, be my guest, have at the urinal at the local Outback, just try not to piss on the floor. I hate standing in pee when it is my turn. However, don't get pissed if people look at her like a creeper and/or don't let their young-uns go in their solo.

Somehow thinking a federal law one way or another is going to keep the other kiddies from talking about the non-normos is just dumb. States and school districts should have a plan to handle these off nominal situations subtlety that considers the best interests of ALL students.

Why is it that we don't charge kids under the age of 18 for real crimes since "they don't know better" yet it's just assumed that an 8 year old "knows" that they're a woman trapped in a male's body?

What f*cking kids are thinking about this?

There's no doubt in my mind that this is left wing projection, NOT actual child input.
