Ive never watched the show, so I can't comment on whether this season is good or terrible. That being said, its amazing to me how so many people talked about how great it was for this many years and now almost universally people are saying this season sucks. It's reminiscent of the Matrix trilogy:

First movie: that was awesome

Second movie: ok, well maybe that was just setting up for the next one

Third movie: what the hell was that? Did they even try to make a good movie?
